**[Key Responsibilities [Responsible for assembling products on a bench or on the shop floor as needed for production. Parts to be assembled include aviation mechanical, fuel, or electrical parts and accessories.

  • Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled by following blueprints and/or operational descriptions.
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
  • Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
  • Basic soldering of components as required by process instructions
  • Utilize drill presses, punch presses, riveting machines, soldering equipment, testing equipment, and small and pneumatic hand tools to assist in assembly processes.
  • Use all required safety equipment.
  • Maintain and clean equipment and work area.

**[Required Education and Experience

[High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous aviation assembly preferred. [Assembling experience required[.

  1. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and circuit and wiring diagrams
  2. Understanding of and experience with the following assembly equipment:
