Description of Duties:The Assistant Volleyball Coach/Residence Hall Assistant reports to the Head Volleyball Coach, the Director of Housing, and the Dean of Student Services/Athletic Director for appropriate functions.
Specific duties include:
To assist the Head Volleyball Coach in the development and organization of an intercollegiate Women's volleyball program.
To aid in organizing and implementing a recruiting plan to bring in top rated local, state, region and country wide prospective student athletes.
To aid in implementing a budget that provides for the needs of the program and would also include maintaining the facility and office for potential recruits at all times.
To assist with other duties as assigned.
To perform all functions necessary to the orderly function of the Student Residence Center which includes but is not limited to performing check-ins and check-outs, report conduct infractions to Dean of Student Services/Athletic Director, and make daily delivery of incoming mail to residents.
To ensure that resident students maintain an orderly environment and proper decorum. It is the supervisors responsibility to provide the example essential to an orderly environment.
To assist in activities and special event programming for campus and resident students.
To provide counsel as needed to resident students.
To safeguard the Colleges investment by carefully monitoring the physical condition of the unit. This will include inspection of each room.
Available to resident students and informs the Director of Housing of non-availability. Is on-call for a regularly scheduled day/night period each week.
To assume special responsibility on assignment by the Director of Housing, Dean of Student Services/Athletic Director, and/or the President.
Travel Required:Yes (Games, conference/regional meetings, and recruiting though the state/region.)
Experience and Training:Minimum of 2 coaching and/or high level collegiate volleyball participation.
Education:Bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Solid network of high school and club coaches for recruiting purposes. High quality character and leadership building skills. Ability to work in a didactic environment and communicate at a rapid and changing pace.
Preferred Qualifications:Coaching and playing experience at the collegiate level. Preferred CDL or the ability and willingness to attain license prior to 6 month evaluation.

Salary or Salary Range:This is a 10 month full time position with full time benefits. The salary is $27,395 based on 260 points/step 0 on the Administrative salary schedule. Applications will be accepted until this position is filled. This position is available immediately.
