General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervising and training designated family preservation/reunification staff who works within Diakon programs.
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow as determined by the department need.  
  • Makes initial family visit, case assessment and ongoing assessments of family.
  • Works closely with county to coordinate referrals, schedules and staff assignments.
  • Reviews, approves and signs off on all reports, outcomes, records and closed files. Oversees the program data and filing systems.
  • Oversees the program budget and staff productively. Keeps client, resource, fiscal and statistical records as dictated by good practice and required by the program.
  • Childline & DHS FBI clearance results are required prior to beginning employment.
  • This position will be serving Delaware County.

     

Education/Training: A BA or BS degree in social service or a related field of study normally required; Masters degree preferred.

 

Experience: A minimum of four (4) years' experience in a related child welfare or human service position normally required.  Experience in social work, psychology, mental health field and/or case management is essential.

 

ADA: Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
