Employee Type: Full Time Req’d Experience: 2+ years of related expIndustry: Admin, Accounting Req’d Travel: Local TravelDescription:We are seeking a full-time detail oriented and energetic Accounting Assistant to join our accounting department at our Rancocas, NJ corporate offices. We manufacture a variety of specialty melting and heating furnaces from our NJ location which provides product to a variety of industries including aerospace, power generation, petrochemical, biomedical, automotive and microelectronics.Primary Responsibilities:•Manage accounts receivable; verify payments and deposits made through the bank account and coordinate with the bank.•Manage weekly/monthly payroll activities and prepare monthly payroll report.•Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.•Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.•Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, processing the mail, etc.•Assist the controller with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.Required Qualifications:•2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.•Familiarity with basic accounting principles.•Proficiency with computers and accounting software.•Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills•Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive•Good problem-solving and time management skills.•Basic MS Excel skills a must.Condition of Employment:Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination and drug screen.
