MIO Partners Inc. is seeking a MIO Senior Quantitative Research Analyst in New York, NY. Responsible for the day-to-day investment management activities of the FX team, which includes the following: tracking the performance and underlying risk metrics of FX portfolios, and reporting these to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Portfolio Manager. Responsible for implementing systematic trading strategies in the portfolio. Serve as the content expert in FX topics for creating and structuring new FX research and quantitative trading strategies; and communicate complex research findings and suggestions to the CIO and Portfolio Managers. Create and maintain automated valuation decks analyzing attractiveness of individual currency crosses or currency baskets. Compare attractiveness of different structures, such as outright, vanilla call/put, risk reversal, and covered long. Work with Portfolio Manager and/or Senior Investment Research Manager in scoping out conceptual and technical approaches, finding and selecting raw data inputs, and designing research outputs. Systematize quantitative research to implement live strategy, including building processes to track positions and key risk metrics, sending trade instructions to trade execution team and providing any pre-trading and post-trading supports, understanding any gap between live execution and research results and report to CIO & PM timely. Telecommuting permitted.Qualified applicants for this position must possess a Master’s degree in Finance, Financial Mathematics, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent. Qualified applicants for this position must have academic training or experience with the following: Using econometric and statistical methods; Understanding of market risks and risk measures; Using Python and Excel to backtest and portfolio modelling; and Regression analysis.
