Part Time: 20-35 hrs/wk | Shift Examples: 9am-4pm; 12pm-7pm/9pm; 3pm-11:30pm | Wage: $13-$16 per hour

Summary: We have two major culinary kitchens (plus an awesome bakery!) in our building -- a high volume, from scratch kitchen focusing on our Family Style Chicken dinners and German entrees plus our Michigan on Main kitchen that has more short-order styled service with sandwiches, salads, and appetizers.

In our main kitchen -- serving traditional "Frankenmuth Family Style Chicken Dinners" and German entrees -- we are looking for fryers & high-volume prep cooks. This kitchen services upwards of 4,000 guests daily during our busy season. That means we have A LOT of chicken, sides, & appetizers to prep and cook! This area offers opportunities from entry level to leadership.

Our Michigan on Main Bar & Grill, which is located within Bavarian Inn Restaurant, is also looking for line cooks and fry cooks.  This kitchen focuses on fresh, simple ingredients sourced locally right here in Michigan. This area frequently offers new and seasonal menu items. Primarily focused on short order and fried menu items such as appetizers, salads, sandwiches, etc. with strong focus on plating and presentation. Speed and attention to detail is a must in this area.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Must have some prior culinary/fry cook experience
  • Must be able to lift moderate weights up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand/walk for duration of shift (8+ hours)
