Job Summary
Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, formulating documentation, and implementing treatment plans addressing the mental and behavioral health of patients. Provides case management through triage, referrals, provider consultation, therapy sessions and outside agencies. Provides clinical consultation to staff.
Essential Functions
Provides initial assessment of client concerns and focus of treatment.
Reviews and interprets psychological testing.
Provides short-term individual and group therapy, and follow-up per patient care needs.
Collaborates with other providers and/or treatment team to ensure best outcomes.
Provides psychoeducation to patients and families.
Provides clinical consultation to staff as appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional skill requirements if assigned to Surgical or Rehab Unit:
Skills in conducting psychological testing (including cognitive assessment) preferred.
Rehabilitation, medical psychology, and neuropsychological assessment experiences are preferred.

Lifting
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Consistently operates computer and other medical equipment. Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment.
Environmental Conditions
Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
Time spent on site in medical/hospital setting.
Mental/Visual
Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
