We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Guard to join our team at the MS Welcome Center located off I-20. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate will exhibit professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrol the MS Welcome Center premises on foot, Security Cart, or by other means as provided.
  • Unlock and secure the Welcome Center buildings at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Maintain possession of keys to the Welcome Center and ensure their safekeeping.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify and respond to any suspicious activities or security breaches.
  • Interact with visitors in a courteous and helpful manner, providing assistance and directions as needed.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences to management promptly.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, including the Security Cart and uniform.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a current gun permit or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment at the candidate's expense.
  • Clean background with no felony convictions.
  • Must be clean, neat, and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ability to pass background and security screenings.
  • Physical fitness to perform patrol duties, including standing, walking, sitting, and occasional riding on a Security Cart.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Prior experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not required; training will be provided to qualified applicants.
