General Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor assures that all internal and external customers receive orders in a timely, cost-effective and accurate manner. Builds positive employee relationships and balances the work activities/scheduling according to business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads and influences the performance of full-time, seasonal and temporary employees; actively listens and addresses employee and operational concerns; directs flow and schedule of work; leads monthly team meetings.
- Interviews and trains new employees, coaches and counsels employees, conducts annual performance evaluations, maintains attendance records, and reports time worked for payroll processing.
- Develops bench strength for the operation by creating and implementing cross-training plans for the operation staff including hi-lo training and recertifications.
- Participates in process meetings to plan strategies and analyze pertinent information including budgeting, warehouse business reports, safety statistics, non-conformance, and best practices in order to improve efficiencies and maximize performance.
- Ensures incoming and outgoing inventory is processed efficiently; oversees layout and design of inventory and storage areas; serves as the focal point for inventory discrepancies.
- Analyzes transportation and distribution methods/procedures to develop and utilize the most efficient means of delivering product to customer.
- Promote a positive working relationship between the Warehouse and other departments.
- Maintains warehouse facility, including housekeeping and security, at an exceptionally high standard.
- Supports the implementation and processes of TWL, if applicable, and the quality program.
- Creates, implements and revises procedures and work instructions.
- Assists in the daily warehouse operations where required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma required; bachelor's or associate degree preferred or demonstrated progression toward degree completion.
- Five or more years of experience in warehouse operations; previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Proven leadership ability with good organizational skills, attention to detail and good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze information requirements and needs, identify problems and solve to ensure efficient utilization of work processes.
- Working knowledge of Trend Business System and MS Office products including Excel and Word.

- Reports To: Manager, Warehouse and Logistics; Branch Manager; Operations Manager
- Direct Reports: Warehouse Team
