We're currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Service Coordinator to join us in our mission to promote wellness and independence among our community members.

As aPart-time (16 hours/week) Resident Service Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being and independence of our residents. Your days will be filled with meaningful interactions as you connect residents with essential services and resources, promote wellness activities, and build supportive networks within the community. From educating residents on available resources to advocating for their needs, you'll be at the forefront of empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents and families access services to foster self-reliance.

  • Promote wellness activities to enhance the overall well-being of residents.

  • Educate residents, families, and staff on community resources. including coordinating relevant programs to encourage independence.

  • Educate residents on service availability, application procedures, and their rights, including maintaining a directory of community services accessible to residents, families, and management.

  • Facilitate the establishment of informal support networks among residents and their families. Encourage residents to take proactive steps in meeting their social, psychological, and physical needs.

  • Serve as a liaison between community agencies, service providers, and residents, advocating and negotiating on behalf of residents for adequate service provision.

  • Submit biannual reports to HUD.

  • Establish volunteer support programs with community service organizations.

  • Maintain emergency contact information for each resident.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma; College Degree with a concentration in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, or Public Health preferred.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Positive client demeanor.

  • Ability to build rapport with staff teams, clients, and family members.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent organizational skills.
