Consultant, Central Pharmacy Solution Design

The Consultant, Central Pharmacy Solution Design, is responsible for the maintenance of customer relationships in assigned accounts, maintain a high level of customer service at or above expectations, and demonstrating accountability for their part in the Omnicell Solution Design and Sales Process. The position serves as a clinical expert, product educator, and planner for Omnicell customers. The Consultant provides consultation to facilities considering or using Omnicell automation and software, throughout the customer journey, to ensure customer success. This position leads discussions and presentations with key stakeholders to address clinical issues and/or concerns, provide workflow assessments, build business case strategies, and offers the clinical value of the Omnicell solution.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in Solution Design pre-sale and work in tandem, post-sale, with Professional Services to enhance the customer lifecycle.

  • Serve as a Healthcare and Central Pharmacy expert and articulate the company’s suite of services to customers.

  • Provide clinical and workflow expertise, to include Omnicell solutions and industry best practices.

  • Build the business case strategy and best overall technology solution for the customer. To include customer medication management efficiencies, meet KPI’s and future vision.

  • Assist with providing Training & Education per guidance of Field Enablement

  • Support the development of best practices for medication management & technology adoption

  • Provide Continuity & Knowledge Transfer, pre-sale into Implementation

  • Serve as a resource to management and staff on the issues relating to hospital practice and, more specifically, the medication management process.

  • Act as a liaison between the Marketing department & the Sales organization in determining practice trends and providing feedback from the field to assist in new product development

  • Lead specific projects as identified by Leadership

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Emotional intelligence

  • Executive Presence

  • Experience with healthcare-related technology desirable

  • Ability to travel 50-80% of the time

  • Experience with Automation, Robotics, SaaS products for the pharmacy highly desired

  • Director of Pharmacy experience highly desired

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Pharmacy OR Pharm.D.

  • 8 or more years of experience in the healthcare industry
