General Position Description: Responsible for a range of employee-centric process improvement and process management activities across all functional areas, utilizing a deep knowledge of Workday capabilities. Activities include leading and managing cross-functional teams to assess, plan, perform, execute and measure business process improvement initiatives. Process management functions may include data gathering and analysis, process mapping, developing and recommending process improvement, technology/vendor evaluation, obtaining leadership and stakeholder agreement, implementing improvements, testing solution models, training users, monitoring post-process improvement initiative performance to updated standards, and ensuring standardization and compliance of business processes where applicable.

Type: Exempt

Compensation: $100,000 - $160,000 per year (Skookum's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm (flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs. This is a hybrid/remote position, with in office days at our Bremerton home office.)

As a Resource Project Manager you'll… oversee resource allocation and optimize resource utilization across projects and departments. Your expertise in resource planning and management will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient delivery of projects and achieving organizational goals. The ideal candidate possesses a strategic mindset, strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities and will support the team by analyzing project demands, resource availability and constraints to develop effective resource allocation plans.

  • Maintain up-to-date project documents for all initiatives that include technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables.

  • Collaborating with project managers, department heads and stakeholders to understand resource requirements and project timelines.

  • Participate in and frequently facilitate/organize team and cross-team meetings and maintaining accurate resource records and documentation, including resource schedules, utilization reports and allocation decisions

  • With support from the Workday Architect develop and implement resource planning strategies to align resource allocation with project demands and organizational goals

  • Evaluate project timelines, budgets and resource constraints to ensure the efficient allocation of resources

  • Monitor resource utilization, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or conflicts and implementing necessary adjustments.

  • Conduct resource capacity planning to assess and manage resource demands based on project priorities and objectives.

  • Conducting regular assessments of resource performance, productivity and capacity to identify areas for improvement.

  • Monitors resource usage for internal requests via our ticketing system (Solar Winds) and assigns resources appropriately. Provides key updates on volume and request trends.

  • Monitors and directs usage of WSP (Workday Support Plan) resources and ASK requests. Works with stakeholders and team to prioritize the requests and backlog.

  • Ensure that the information is presented in a visually clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to senior leadership level stakeholders.

  • Maintain resource management tools, systems and processes to enhance visibility, transparency and efficiency.

  • Serve as an internal resource to ensure organization leaders are knowledgeable regarding the use of workforce data and analytics self-service tools.

  • Ensure confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Skookum Resource Project Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Healthcare, Software Development, Technology or a related field required

  • 3 – 5 years of previous project management experience required

  • Previous HRCM system knowledge required

  • Previous experience with Workday preferred

  • Combination of previous experience and education will be considered

  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance.

  • Must b e able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

IT Business Process Coordinator

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and manage cross-functional teams to:

• Construct process flow diagrams that illustrate the various business process activities and their interrelationship.

• Analyze/evaluate existing business processes to identify process efficiency and effectiveness improvement opportunities such as bottlenecks, business risks, duplicate activities, compliance to audit requirements (when applicable)

• Lead change management activities associated with process improvement, engaging leadership and other departments to obtain support and buy-in for changes. Partner with management, project champions, and process owners to align process improvement initiatives with business objectives.

• Define, develop, and evaluate performance metrics to establish and measure process success.

• Research best practices, and prepare recommendation on appropriate solutions.

• Successfully develop, test, execute, and measure approved business process improvements across the organization.

Develop and deliver internal Business Process Training.
