Currently hiring for a picker/packer for a local distrubutor of travel gear located in the Hauppauge area. Qualified candidates for this position will have prior experience working in picking/packaging and shipping and receiving. Responsibilities
Responsible for fulfilling customer orders by selecting and packaging items for shipment.
This involves locating items within a warehouse based on picking lists.
Inspecting items for any damages, defects, or discrepancies before packaging them
Once items are picked, packers are responsible for carefully and efficiently packaging them according to specific instructions or guidelines.
Affixing shipping labels, barcodes, or other identification markers to packages.
Proper labeling ensures accurate delivery and tracking of shipments.
Keeping track of inventory levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
Use of pallet jack to move pallets and receive incoming and outgoing shipments
