As a member of the Office Services Team, the temporary Office Relocation Assistant will provide high quality office relocation support for the upcoming relocation of our Philadelphia office. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with the cleanup and organization of current office(s) in anticipation of the move. 
  • Prepare items for transport by ensuring they are wrapped, packed or padded with protective material in a manner that will ensure they remain safe from damage.
  • Move files and boxes.
  • Load packed items onto carts to prepare for transport.
  • Assist with labeling or cataloging items to ensure proper placement at the new location.
  • Take inventory of items to ensure nothing is lost or missing during transportation.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

Education:     

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • Prior experience as a mover or package handler preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Must have ability to communicate effectively, tactfully and professionally.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds of office related equipment and boxes.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and judgment.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage priorities.
  • Strong ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Medium Work:  Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects 20 to 50 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds.

VISUAL ACUITY

The work is required to have acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspect
