Job Opening: Bookkeeper

Robert half is hiring! We are looking for a Bookkeeper located near the Boca Raton, Florida area. This position works closely and reports to the Accounting Manager at the Client's site and handles all general accounting needs of the Accounting Department. This opportunity has loads of growth potential for a candidate who multi-tasks effectively and has strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Major responsibilities:

• Maintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifying

• Full cycle Accounts Payable processing

• Full cycle Accounts Receivable processing

• Maintaining subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying and allocating transactions

• Reconciling entries to balance subsidiary accounts

• Maintaining a balanced general ledger

• Preparing a trial balance for the accountants

• Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing accounting for information

• Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements

• Monitoring for variances from the projected budget

• Advising management on compliance needs

• Assisting in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices

  Requirements

  The qualifications that we are looking for include:

• Previous bookkeeping experience

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment

• Basic accounting knowledge

• Understanding of industry benchmarks in accounting best practices

• Knowledge of IFRS, U.S. GAAP or other industry-standard accounting frameworks

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheet

• Experience working with accounting software or large ERP is preferred
