Job Opening: Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Northwest Houston, is adding an Accounts Payable clerk to the team.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing accounts payable in a timely and efficient manner. You will be an integral part of our financial team and your expertise in the manufacturing industry would play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for financial accuracy and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner

• Match purchase orders with invoices and forward necessary documents to the accounting department

• Process checks, electronic transfers and credit transactions

• Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes

• Track expenses, prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly reports

• Adhere to and implement company financial procedures and policies

• Maintain accurate and complete financial, employee, and client records

  Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in accounts payable role within the manufacturing industry

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

• Understanding of POs and inventory as it pertains to accounts payable

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system is a plus

• High-level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

• Strong organization and planning skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
