Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$46.957 - $60.590 - $74.223

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

The Sharp Experience Lead Culture Enrichment Specialist will

(1) work and collaborate with the Manager of TSE and Culture Enrichment to cascade the tools and tenets of The Sharp Experience across the system as well as provide support and partnering on inspiring and celebratory workforce events,

(2) ensure entities across the system have up-to-date information and access to resources, information, materials, structures and processes that advance The Sharp Experience for employees, leaders and patients,

(3) develop and oversee Sharp HealthCare's high performer program(s) focused on identifying employees to be representatives, experts and spokespersons for all areas of The Sharp Experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, organizational development or healthcare related field.

  • 5 years' experience designing, developing, and measuring success of large-scale programs and initiatives.

  • 3 years recent clinical or healthcare experience as a licensed professional (within the last 5 years).

  • 3 years' experience in communication and writing – targeting both larger workforce, leaders and community members.

  • 2 years leadership experience to include training and development.

  • Driver's License - CA Department of Motor Vehicles -REQUIRED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, organizational development or healthcare related field.

  • 2 years organizational development, service excellence concepts and best practices, measuring outcomes, leading data driven change initiatives, event design and development.

Other Qualification Requirements

  • Utilizes reliable transportation and possesses adequate personal insurance coverage. Demonstrates clean driving record in accordance with requirements of the employer DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines.

Essential Functions

  • Leadership Develop and implement strategies to enhance Sharp's organizational culture, The Sharp Experience.Interact effectively with all levels of employees, including executive and frontline clinicians.Conducts presentations and facilitates meetings with internal and external stakeholders.Supervision and advisement of TSE representatives across the system, ensuring tailored attention to entity and system drivers of The Sharp Experience.Present feedback to The Sharp Experience division and Sharp leadership to effectively support TSE enculturation, outreach, and current workforce needs.Serves in expert roles on systemwide committees, councils, and administrative teams.Advocate for employees, establishing trust and rapport with workforce and bringing concern, observations and potential solutions forward as indicated/needed.Manage projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Conducts organizational assessments (360 degree assessments, surveys, focus groups) to identify areas for improvement in organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.Ensures consistent application of human resources policies and Sharp Health Plan protocols.Coaches, counsels and evaluates staff on their performance.

  • Education and Outreach Designs and delivers engaging and impactful programs on a variety of TSE related topics, including service excellence techniques, extending TSE to employees, physicians and patients, team and rapport building, operationalizing team and individual values aligned to SHC values, assertiveness, communication and de-escalation techniques, modeling TSE in your day-to-day work life.Partner with systemwide reward and recognition teams to ensure illumination and celebration of The Sharp Experience is universal and standard, where applicable.Identifies cultural factors that help define The Sharp Experience and works with The Sharp University to develop educational programming to enhance the organization's culture.

  • Workplace Culture Enhancement and TSE Enculturation Work diagonally, across all levels of the organization to identify workplace cultural improvement areas – demonstrate curiosity, compassion, collaboration, and deference to other areas of expertise.Build partnership with clinical and non-clinical leaders, forging lasting relationships within and across departments that will allow The Sharp Experience to improve across all levels and all entities.Builds systemwide relationships and round consistently to enhance the enculturation process and evaluate TSE related needs and outcomes.Design workflows that allow for constant identification and illumination of stories of The Sharp Experience.Supports the development of initiatives, programs, and policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure that the organization’s policies and practices are aligned with the desired culture; making recommendations for necessary adjustments as needed.

  • Communication Helps to develop and implement internal communication strategies to reinforce the company's dedication to The Sharp Experience, including regular updates, emails, one-pagers, and social events.Monitor and advise on messaging across system to ensure The Sharp Experience is elevated and illuminated; escalate and report on findings regularly to marketing and communications leaders.Collaborates with Marketing and Communications personnel to establish and support format and content standards that represent The Sharp Experience in a consistent and professional way.

  • Experience Design Work closely with stakeholders to guide and advise them on the right experience to achieve their objectives for illuminating and celebrating The Sharp Experience.Supervise Experience Design efforts of TSE employees, offer support, guidance and consult as needed.Convert insights and concepts into actionable work items.
