Position: Short Order Cook

1652, LLC d/b/a Nicks Beachside Grille is a seasonal restaurant that offers a full menu of lunch and dinner options 7 days a week during the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. The restaurant is located at 1 Ocean Avenue across the street from York Beach in the seasonal and coastal community of York, Maine 03909. 1652, LLC is hiring six (6) temporary and full-time Short Order Cooks from June 1, 2024 to November 30, 2024 at \$15.25 hr., 35 hrs. a week. Overtime is available/not guaranteed at \$22.88 hr. Job is located in the York Beach area in the Town of York, Maine.

Duties: Report to Kitchen Manager and responsible to prepare, cook, grill, and fry a variety of lunch and dinner foods that require short preparation and cooking times; take orders and serve customers; clean and inspect kitchen cooking equipment; stock supplies; and ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety guidelines.

Anticipated shifts are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7 hrs. per day from 3pm to 10pm. However, restaurant is open 7 days a week for Lunch and Dinner with multiple shifts are available from 10am to 10pm. Afternoon, Evening, Weekends, & Holidays shifts are required. Cooks are required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and able to move continuously during work hours. Areas of the restaurant are stairs access only. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.

Education/experience: No Education or Experience Required

Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid weekly. Employer will take all deductions from the workers paychecks required by law. Employer will pay for workers transportation costs and daily subsistence to the place of employment, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if worker completes 50% of employment period. Employer will pay for workers return transportation costs and daily subsistence if worker completes 100% of employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence costs are \$14.00 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts. Employer will pay for or will reimbursed worker in first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, included those mandated by government, incurred by the worker. Employer will provide the workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period of the total employment period.
