Aon is looking for a hybrid Account Specialist I in our Lincolnshire, IL office.

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting the US Small Commercial organization.

The Account Specialist I will assist Account Executives/Brokers on assigned accounts, handling key processes and undertaking client facing and internal activites as they relate to our commercial risk business. This is achieved through effective communication and partnership with our internal and outsourced ACS (Aon Client Services) partners.

What the day will look like:

  • Maintains effective and positive relationships with clients.

  • Perform necessary activities to support Account Executive/Broker team with initiating, marketing, and processing renewals, processing client invoices, requesting auto IDs, assisting with surplus lines processes, resolving account discrepancies in partnership with PASC, initiating endorsement requests. and processing other client requests and account servicing functions.

  • At the direction of the Account Executive/Broker, drafts quote comparisons and follow up for binders, policies, and endorsements.

  • Seeks assistance from senior team members when confronted with unfamiliar or complex processing transactions.

  • Ensure system of record (Bridge, Broker Desktop, and Salesforce) is accurate and current to ensure outputs and client deliverables will be produced according to guidelines and policy details.

  • Handle client open items lists and respond to client ad-hoc requests.

  • Where applicable, serves as the primary work with Aon Client Services (ACS), coordinating activities of the client service teams and ACS to ensure that key processes assigned are performed effectively.

  • Act as the primary work with PASC on client administration matters.

  • Serves as key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, location additions, invoices, WC posting notices, allocations, premium finance agreements, summaries of insurance, and policy transmittals.

  • Understands and works in alignment with the Aon Leadership Model and its pillars of Client Value, Unmatched Teams, Innovations, Results, and Values.

  • Ensures operational excellence, including adherence to service management requirements (e.g., Transparency & Disclosure, Aon Compliance Requirements, and Client Promise Methodology).

    Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Associates degree preferred

  • Insurance experience preferred

  • A P&C license is preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of hire

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $55,000 to $65,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
