  • Prepares job posting and advertisement. Consults with the appointing authority regarding the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified position(s).

``` - Develops and maintains necessary tracking of applicants, which includes applicable testing.

``` - Reviews candidate applications and resumes for qualifications. Certifies candidates for assigned County position vacancies.

``` - Works closely with hiring managers, department heads and elected officials to assist with recruitment needs, minimum qualifications, and certification procedures.

``` - Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process to identify and recommend appropriate compensation, start dates, and other pertinent details.

``` - Administers the County Education Assistance Program to include: managing and maintaining the database, reviewing applications to ensure all applicants meet the necessary requirements, and tracking Education Assistance payments

``` - Answers questions from applicants and other County employees regarding policies, procedures, and County benefits.

``` - Assists in developing, communicating, and rolling out new programs and processes for HR functions.

``` - Prepares for and attends recruitment fairs, internship fairs, campus events, networking opportunities.

``` - Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
