Responsibilities

St. Mary’s Physician Associates is a multi-specialty group of employed physicians and midlevel providers that serve a ten-county area in NW Oklahoma. It is located in Enid, Oklahoma which is the county seat for Garfield County. Enid is the seventh largest city in Oklahoma with a population of approximately 65,000 but their primary service area in NW Oklahoma consists of 200,000. The group has satellite clinics in Hennessey, Fairview, Okeene, Woodward, and Ponca City. St. Mary’s Physician Associates is affiliated with St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, a 229-bed facility.

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Population Health Quality Coordinator

The Population Health Quality Coordinator, under the direction of the Quality Coordinator RN/Quality Improvement Analyst and Market Leadership is responsible for leading the quality improvement activities needed to perform favorably on contracts and ACO financial incentives. The Population Health Quality Coordinator will work closely with, primary care providers, clinical staff, to achieve key measures of success; closing gaps in care and accurately coding patient’s severity of illness in their documentation. This position participates in collaboration meetings and process improvement initiatives between the ACO and insurance companies’ quality program managers and the primary care practice as a whole.

  • Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicates providing constructive feedback to providers and staff alike on meeting quality goals

  • Continuous learning of payer quality programs

  • Works collaboratively with payers to understand their quality data and communicate to the Providers and staff

  • Participates in JOC meetings and additional meetings as assigned

  • Acts as a professional role model and mentor to coach team members on clinic workflows as related to achieving quality metrics

    Qualifications

    Education :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Medical Assistant certificate required

  • Current BLS/CPR certification required

    Work experience :

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant

  • Fluent with medical terminology required

    Knowledge :

  • Understanding of Managed Care Quality Incentives

  • Understanding of medical documentation requirements for meeting quality incentives

  • General medical office procedures

    Skills :

  • Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

    Abilities:

  • Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions

    Equipment Operated:

  • Office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system

  • EKG machine

    Work environment :

  • Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environment

  • May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases

  • May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances

  • Occasionally subject to irregular hours

  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary

    Mental/Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain calm and focused in an emergency situation

  • Must be able to see with corrective eye wear

  • Must be able to hear clearly with assistance
