Job Summary (Role in the organization):

This position reports to the Site Manager. This position receives general instructions regarding the scope and approach to assignments.

Achieves the Authority's mission by posting daily reports that include On Time Performance.

Supports maintenance by working with Superintendent of Maintenance with coordinating Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and major repairs with shop or 3rd party vendors. Reviews and scans DVIRs. Enters fuel slips into maintenance software.

Assists the operations by updating the vehicle availability list and forwarding to site manager.

Coordinates the daily operator assignments with Manager/ Supervisor and Centralized Dispatch.

Supports the organization's financial responsibility by counting fares and preparing and making weekly deposits as needed. May handle onsite ticket sales.

Maintains miscellaneous maintenance inventory on site to include office and cleaning supplies.

Maintains trust, confidence and protects the organization by keeping information confidential and disclosing only on a need to know basis; ensuring high ethical standards; and using good customer service skills with both internal and external customers.

Maintains cooperative relationship with coworkers and management by communicating necessary information, responding to requests, building rapport; and participating in problem- solving methods.

Contributes to effective communications within the organization by establishing and maintaining effective communication lines with all staff members and general public. Keeps management and staff informed of critical information needed to ensure smooth operations.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational classes/workshops; maintaining detailed knowledge of service area.

This position is responsible for the operation of a van/bus to transport passengers in a safe,

courteous manner according to published routes and timetables. The driver is responsible

for driving defensively and reacting to emergency situations to ensure the safety of the

passengers and the safety of the general public. Work includes completion of vehicle

inspections, maintaining accurate records, assisting passengers as required including

wheelchair securements, receiving and accounting for fares, radio communications, following

emergency procedures, and other activities as assigned by the Site Manager.

Additional Tasks: Contributes to SRTA team effort by performing other assigned duties as needed.
