Randstad is seeking a talented paralegal to join a reputable legal group. In this role, you will assist attorneys with a wide range of tasks, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, managing litigation calendars, and providing support in court proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a paralegal, superb organizational skills, and proficiency in legal research tools. Responsibilities

Litigation Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of pleadings, motions, and other court documents for construction, eviction, commercial, and general litigation cases.

  • Coordinate with attorneys to gather evidence, legal research and information for trial preparation.

  • Assist in drafting and serving discovery requests and responses.

  • Prepare deposition summaries and trial binders.

  • Coordinate with experts, witnesses, and court personnel as needed.

  • Manage document production and electronic discovery processes.

  • Maintain litigation calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, and other appointments.

  • Assist in the preparation of settlement agreements and negotiation strategies.

Business/Corporate Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the review and drafting of construction contracts, leases, and other commercial agreements.

  • Conduct due diligence for commercial transactions, including title searches and property inspections.

  • Manage communication with clients, contractors, tenants, and other parties involved in construction and eviction matters.

  • Prepare and file mechanic's liens and other construction-related documents.

  • Assist in the resolution of contract disputes and payment issues.

  • Provide support during mediation and arbitration proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a paralegal, with a focus on construction, eviction, commercial, and general litigation.

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate is desirable.
