Job Opening: Gestamp McCalla Press Tech

Press operations -Machine setup, start machine, operate pre-programmed cycle, handle / pack material, move materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Follow Standardized Work Instructions

2. Able to operate progressive press equipment safely and meeting expected HPH and quality goals.

3. Able to operate transfer press equipment Safely and meeting expected HPH and quality goals

4. Able to setup all aspects of new jobs.

5. Able to optimize any die setup (feeds, speeds, gripper/ finger adjustment, destacker, motion curves, stack setups, etc..)

6. Follow and recommend improvements to SOP's.

7. Supports the teams in Operational improvement

8. Develops Initial Standard Work Practices with the teams

9. Quality Checks and Inspections

10. Problem Solving - Learn to recognize and solve the malfunctioning of the machine and recognize and solve quality problems of formed part

11. Make process checks/inspections

12. Finalize component parts to ready them for assembly into final products. This may include, but is not limited to deburring, 100% inspection, rework, etc.

13. Know the proper and improper use of PPE and equipment with ultimate concern for personal safety and safety of others

14. Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules

15. Perform other duties as assigned or needed

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supports Operational Performance Metrics and meets targets for improvement

2. Supports annual operating plan

3. Minor maintenance/repairs on equipment

4. Recording data as needed/assist in documenting standardized work

5. Material Handling as required

6. Cleaning and enhancing their work area

7. Perform 5S audits

8. Develop ideas for Kaizen and participate in implementation

9. Ability to train new or less experienced associates.

Must be able to work 12 hours shift and weekends

Must have at least 1 years experience

Pay Details: $21.63 to $35.90 per hour
