Pay Rate: $40 / hour

Job Details:

  • Area: Mental Health OT-8HR Class: RECT Shift: 1 Start: 08:00:00 End: 16:30:00

CERTIFICATES ACCEPTED FROM THE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THERAPUTIC CERTIFICATON (NCTRC) OR THE CALIFORNIA BOARD OF RECREATON AND PARK CERTIFICATION (CBRPC)

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs

  • Consider medical records

  • Personal observation and talks with the patient and his or her loved ones

  • Execute a therapeutic program targeted toward what that patient requires most

  • Keep current on communal and therapeutic resources available to best help the patients

  • Document a patient's progress during their activities

  • Other duties assigned my supervisor

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 36 months (3yrs) as a Recreational Therapist

  • Ability to build rapport with patients

  • Compassionate and caring demeanor

  • Familiarity with medical terminology

  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
