**JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing materials, managing contracts, and ensuring quality standards are met.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES: Under limited supervision, procure supplies, materials, equipment, mechanical assemblies, and various services. Determine material requirements from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and coordinate efficient movement of material into the facility. Evaluate supplier performance. Plans, schedules, and monitors production schedules. Interact closely with sales, engineering, and production manager regarding rescheduling caused by backlogs, design changes, and material and labor shortages. Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs. Maintain standard costs.**

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The applicant MUST have the following qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of purchasing and production planning experience in the electronic manufacturing industry
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledgeable in materials, components, market trends, supplier evaluation and selection, supplier capabilities, and sources of supply
• Ability to manage and negotiate costs and also manage customer/supplier relationships
• Proven record of strong negotiating skills with examples to substantiate
• Strong analytical, financial, and production planning skills
• Ability to maintain standard costs
• Proficient with ERP software
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software
• Strong team and relationship building skills
• Fluent in English, excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks to complete job functions in an orderly, efficient manner
• Must be a skilled listener in receiving data and understanding and following instructions
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must effectively interact with management and peers
• Must be creative in defining and solving problems
• U.S. Citizenship is required
