Position Summary The primary role of the Housing Program Therapist is to provide comprehensive mental health services and to provide initial assessment of behavioral health and substance use, and make appropriate referrals to outside community providers when needed. This position will also offer regular drop-in hours for clients of the Supportive Housing Program, providing an opportunity for individuals facing difficulty maintaining appointments to receive needed behavioral health support. This position works closely with the Housing Care Coordinator, Behavioral Health Manager, and Program Director to provide high-quality, low-barrier behavioral health services. This is a special position created for a 3-year renewable funding from Oregon Health Authority, for a pilot program designed to assist people who are living with HIV and are having difficulty sustaining stable housing. The position may continue beyond the funding if there is enough revenue from billable services. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Work in close coordination with Housing Care Coordinator to assess the clients\' mental health needs and ensure delivery of needed services and support Conduct and document comprehensive biopsychosocial behavioral health assessments, including ASAM criteria Develop Individual Services and Support Plan (ISSP) in collaboration with clients Refer clients to other psychiatry, behavioral health, substance use, or dual diagnosis programs as appropriate Provide individual, family or group psychotherapy within the scope of education and training, including services at clients\' homes or at other locations outside HIVA offices Maintain confidentiality and records in compliance with CFR 42, HIPAA and HIVA policies and standards Ensure patient comfort while visiting HIV Alliance Serve as a client advocate and collaborate with other HIVA staff in helping clients get access to funding, benefits, services, and healthcare as needed Administer outcome measuring tools Assist with mental health crisis situations during scheduled office hours Utilize the electronic data systems appropriately Other duties as assigned For a complete job description, please visit: https://hivalliance.criterionhcm.com/jobs/51/1/#508 Language skill requirement or preference: Will communicate with clients whose primary language is Spanish.
