This position coordinates career development for undergraduate and graduate students in the Doermer School of Business by cultivating employer and alumni relationships and through community outreach.   • Collaborate with academic administrators to identify, define, and meet student career planning and internship needs, goals and objectives, specific to the business disciplines.
  • Support professional development programming through partnership with Doermer School of Business student organizations.
  • Establish an outreach agenda to expand visibility of the school among employers and develop job and internship opportunities for business students.
  • Manage and develop PFWs current and future relationships with government, nonprofit, private sector employers, and alumni.
  • Promote on-campus recruitment programs, internship programs, and all other placement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage employer relations events.
  • Provide academic advising to Doermer School of Business students.

[Required Qualifications:]{helvetica",sans-serif"=""}

  • A masters degree in student affairs, higher education, or a related field.
  • 6-7 years of experience in an academic advising, career development and/or outreach role.
  • Possess previous experience in leadership, budget planning, and data analysis.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to present to collaborative groups of students, parents, and professional staff.
  • Must be able to work independently and independently prioritize/ manage responsibilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proficient with computers, software applications, and emerging technologies.

  • Knowledge of Purdue University Fort Wayne programs, majors, policies, procedures, and technology.
