Job Opening: Commissary Store Attendant

General Purpose of Position:

The Commisary Store Associate is responsible for overseeing the operation of an inmate commisary. 

Job duties include, but not limited to:

*Oversees and trains small staff of inmates in operating the prison commisary including cleaning, unloading supplies, and stocking shelves. 

• Maintains inventory control records, checks invoices, and dispenses commodoties to prisoners and prison personnel.

*Operates an electronic point of sale system to record customer purchases

*Provides inmates with merchandise availability and price information

• Reviews stock levels and gathers and reports inventory data on a weekly basis.

*Maintains and inforces all security, safety, and sanitation process and procedures

• Performs other necessary duties as assigned
