Role:Has responsibility to improve the Credit Union's competitive position, consistent with its mission, within the markets served; develop objectives, policies and programs for marketing activities of the Credit Union; plan, direct, and coordinate the efforts of marketing and sales toward the accomplishment of overall objectives; supply advice and assistance to the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications and other operating units within the organization.Responsibilities:-Oversee advertising, promotions and Pay-It-Forward branding initiatives. Develop, direct and implement production and distribution of advertising programs, literature, and collateral materials directly or through outside vendors.-Direct marketing programs including an analysis of competitive products/services and selling techniques, legislation, budgets, pricing and distribution.-Assist Senior VP of Marketing and Communications in the development and execution of the annual budget.-Monitor the marketing budget and tracks assigned expenses; approve expenses that are in the budget; research and justify expenses that are outside the approved budget for Sr. VP review.-Conduct market research and recommend for product/service modifications or improvements.-Coordinate the annual meeting, including production of reports, facilities, and meeting logistics.-Interact and communicate with all those impacted by promotions, new products, advertising campaigns, collateral material, etc., so that employees are up-to-date on credit union marketing programs.-Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Knowledge & Skills:Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level.
