The DuPont Water Solutions business has an exciting opportunity for an Activity Coordinator in the Ion Exchange Copolymer manufacturing facility located at the Midland, Michigan Operations site.

As an Activity Coordinator you will provide a resource with plant knowledge and experience to coordinate the Master Task List (MTL), ensure activities create value and are scheduled in a safe, reliable and optimal manner. You will work with plant personnel and expertise centers to coordinate prioritize and schedule plant activities. The role also performs the Gatekeeper role between Operations and the Maintenance function.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION  ​  ​

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:

  • Routes work originating within the Plant to the appropriate work group or service provider. Reviews work status with service providers and work originators.

  • Ensures work requests are clearly defined, scheduled and completed. Performs the role of Gate Keeper in the Global Maintenance Work Process.

  • Coordinates work from functional support organizations to be performed by operations personnel. (i.e. Coordinates timing and scheduling of process equipment preparation and maintenance with the Maintenance Scheduler)

  • Ensures operational tasks are value added, clearly defined, scheduled and completed, whilst ensuring that procedures and plans for new service requests are aligned. Provides coaching and feedback to ensure clarity and value add.

  • This role is pivotal in ensuring turnaround activities and worklists are generated in a timely manner and fully represent the plant requirements.

  • Acts as plant liaison to functional support organizations for general activities and sharing of core plant personnel, whilst ensuring appropriate operational resources are allocated to perform operational tasks and activities.

  • Owns the ‘Operations Dashboard’ and drives accountability for task completion.

  • Works with Plant SU/SD Coordinator to ensure Start Up and Shutdown tasks align with plant operations activities.

  • Participates in development/monitoring of the maintenance budget and applies status/forecast as an input to manage maintenance work in the facility. Operations has accountability for the maintenance budget and this role is primary focal point for monitoring/applying status of the budget to effectively manage maintenance spending.

  • Ensures that the Operate Plant Work Process is followed, and partners with the AC network and leadership to ensure consistency in application.

  • Collects and/or review process data for improvement purposes and corrective actions. (Typical metrics include % Urgent Work, Incomplete Service Request, Operational Delays, Rework.

  • Works with plant and maintenance resources to ensure mechanical integrity and quality assurance (MIQA) inspections and other plant specific compliance activities are scheduled and completed to maintain compliance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience performing the Activity Coordinator role for at least 12 months

  • At least 5 years of operations experience

  • Experience with OPWP, GMWP, and associated work process tools

  • Possess teamwork, people, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience and knowledge with both the GMWP and OPWP preferred. Significant experience in Activity Coordinator role is preferred.
