As a Materials Coordinator you will improve workforce productivity by coordinating maintenance supplies, as well as managing the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  1. Analyze and investigate all work requests and develop work order-based job plans.
  2. Work diligently with Maintenance Manager and the operations department to ensure parts, materials, and tools are appropriately requisitioned to complete planned jobs.
  3. Ensure proper paperwork is forwarded to accounting. Month-end accruals are forwarded to accounting. Prepares reconciliation of physical count to computer database.
  4. Performs cycle counting of stocked inventory and supplies as needed, maintains 90% or better of cycle counts.
  5. Maintains appropriate inventory levels and product loss control. Manage warehouse to insure accurate, complete and organized inventory.
  6. Assists in maintaining and improving efficient inventory and warehouse logistics.
  7. Investigates material discrepancies and reports reasons for discrepancies to management.
  8. Work with suppliers for proper sales and use tax charges.
  9. Negotiate best prices and lead-time for materials and supplies.
  10. Compiles and maintains record of inventory information, including description, quantity, back-orders, date received of all inventories stocked in Maintenance Department.
  11. Work with maintenance manager to support plant reliability and mechanical integrity programs.
  12. Oversee plant PM and PdM programs.
  13. Commitment to safety with a strong sense of responsibility. Compliance to all safety policies and procedures to ensure zero injuries or incidents.
  14. Track and report on appropriate metrics to monitor and improve maintenance performance and plant reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Two-year degree plus two to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of inventory/warehouse experience at an industrial plant.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System is a plus.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic math skills.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGEand EXPERIENCE:

  • Background in maintenance work with knowledge of mechanical and E/I discipline.
  • Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and estimating.
  • Computer skills: The successful candidate must be proficient in word processing and spreadsheets as well as having experience using an email system and making searches on the internet.
  • Experience with MS Office Professional preferred.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH:

  • This job may require lifting of up to 50 pounds occasionally.
