Job Opening: Packing Associate

Lackawanna. Manpower Group. Packing Associate. $17/hour.

Our client, a prominent manufacturing company is seeking a Packager to join their team. As a Packager, you will be part of the Shipping and Recieving Department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, manufacturing understanding and a willingness to learn which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Packaging Associate Location: Lackawanna, NY Pay Range: $17/hour

What's the Job? * Understand basic shop orders and effectively manage time * Perform piece inspections as required to ensure 100% quality * Develop the knowledge to read and understand drawings and blueprints * Understand basic machine operations (e.g. router bits or brushes, plastic wrap changeovers, banding strappers, etc) * Complete production reporting and properly perform the transfer of product

What's Needed? * Positive, can-do attitude * High School Graduate or GED * Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills * Must have basic computer skills * Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers * Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to use basic hand tools
