As a Customer Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations in Canada. Able to communicate effectively and build and maintain excellent relationships with the client.

Customer Service:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, concerns, and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their transportation needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Proactively seek feedback from customers to continually improve service quality and satisfaction levels.

Management of Transportation Operations:

  • Coordinate and oversee all transportation activities and operations

  • Direct and supervise the scheduling of inbound/outbound shipments to ensure most economical utilization of carriers and modes of transport based on service parameters; interface with client and carrier operations to resolve any problems associated with dock scheduling, equipment scheduling and dispatching; recommend and or support programs in collaboration with Ryder Transport Manager, Director or client plant/warehouse manager

  • Monitor transportation costs, efficiency, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation processes and reduce costs while maintaining high service quality.

  • Establish and manage carrier management program; monitor carrier service and cost performance; implement and manage corrective actions plans; administrate and manage periodic carrier performance scorecards, KPI’s and carrier business reviews

Communication and Documentation:

  • The ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors in both French and English would be preferred.

  • Prepare accurate reports, documentation, and analysis related to transportation operations, performance, and customer feedback.

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required

  • One (1) year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred

  • 0 to One (1) year direct supervisory/leadership experience required
