The Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification is an intermediate career-level credential aimed at professionals using simulation for education, testing, and research in healthcare. Individuals who seek the CHSE credential include physicians, nurses, allied health and paramedical personnel, researchers, educators and developers working in a variety of healthcare, research, academic, development, and clinical settings.

Applicants are required to participate in healthcare simulation in an educational role, possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and demonstrate two years of experience in continued use of simulation in healthcare education, research, or administration. Applicants who do not have degree can request for acceptance based work and educational experience.
