License: Licensed Veterinarian Technician

To become a licensed veterinarian technician, the applicant must: be a graduate of an approved school offering Veterinary Technology Programs either accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) of veterinary medicine or otherwise approved by the Board; and, successfully take or have taken and passed the Veterinary Technician’s National Examination. If the Exam was taken in another state, applicant’s scores must be reported to the Alabama Board Office through the Interstate Reporting Service.
