All applicants shall: be required to demonstrate United States citizenship or legal presence; Hold current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in Alabama; Hold a master’s degree, or post-master’s certificate in nursing from an accredited graduate program recognized by the Alabama Board of Nursing from a program designed to prepare clinical nurse specialists; Hold current certification by national certifying agency recognized by the Board in the specialty consistent with educational preparation as a clinical nurse specialist and appropriate to the area of practice
