Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacist in pharmaceutical services. All tasks performed by the pharmacy technician must be supervised, checked, and approved by a supervising pharmacist. The pharmacy technician may only perform specific tasks as defined in the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy Regulations. His duties may include entering patient profiles and prescription information into the computer, retrieving medications from the shelves, placing the medication in the bottle, placing the label on the bottle, and accepting refill authorizations over the phone. Requirements: 1) Must be a high school graduate or have obtained a GED. 2) Must be of good moral character. 3) Must complete a criminal background check. 4) Must complete application provided by the Board. Registration application fee: $106.25 - odd year / $71.25 - even year, Renewal fee: $70.00 every 2 years, Reinstatement application fee: $146.25 with criminal background fees (if needed) - odd year or $111.25 with crimial background fees (if needed) - even year
