Portable Fire Extinguisher Technicians sell, service, inspect or install any type of portable fire extinguisher in any business. Requirements: 1) Must be employed by a certified Portable Fire Extinguisher firm. 2) Must obtain a grade of 80% to pass the examinations. Written examination required. Examinations are based on information obtained from the Fire Protection Licensing Board Rules and Regulations, Act 743 of 1977, as amended, and various National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) pamphlets. Portable License fee: $60.00, Portable License (Renewal) fee: $30.00, Exam fee for each exam retake: $25.00
