Exams: Applicants must refer to the LFS Website for the list of approved certifying organization examinations for each license category Academic and Training or Experience Requirements: Baccalaureate in microbiology or equivalent with specific course requirements plus one year of post-baccalaureate training or one year of work experience in all areas of the specialty of microbiology, microbiology including bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and virology; immunology, including diagnostic immunology and syphilis serology; and molecular biology in a clinical laboratory that possesses a certificate issued under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) for performing high complexity testing in the specialty of microbiology.
