License: Homeopathic Physician

In order to be eligible for Connecticut homeopathic physician licensure, all applicants must hold a current Connecticut physician/surgeon license and the following: Graduated with the M.D. or D.O. degree from a medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); Completed at least two (2) years of progressive, post-graduate medical training as a resident physician in a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); Completed one of the following: At least one hundred twenty hours of post-graduate medical training in homeopathy at an institution approved by the American Institute of Homeopathy; or One hundred twenty hours of post-graduate medical training in homeopathy under the direct supervision of a licensed homeopathic physician which must include at least thirty hours of theory and ninety hours of clinical practice. Such training shall be approved by the Department. Successfully completed one of the following examinations: United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE); National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME); Federation Licensing Examination (FLEX); National Board of Osteopathic Examiners (NBOME);
