In order to be eligible for registered nurse licensure by examination, an applicant shall: Successfully complete a nursing program that meets the requirements outlined in the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies (RSA): External degree programs are reviewed and approved on an individual basis. To date, Excelsior College’s External Degree program has been approved at both the Associate and Baccalaureate levels. Successfully complete the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Licensing Examination-RN (NCLEX-RN); Foreign trained applicants must successfully complete the CGFNS International Certification Program prior to being eligible for examination.
