Applicants for reinstatement who hold a current, valid practical nurse license in another U.S. state or territory are eligible for a 120-day, non-renewable temporary permit to practice nursing in Connecticut pending licensure reinstatement. If you have been out of the active clinical practice of nursing for a period longer than three years you are not eligible for temporary permit. Once an application is complete, a temporary permit will be issued within 15 business days.
