A Connecticut Hoisting Equipment Operator License is required to operate hoisting equipment meeting all of the following criteria: Motorized equipment; Used in construction, demolition or excavation work; At a construction site of a project that a. Is other than residential structures of less than four stories and b. Estimated cost of which is more than $1,250,000; With manufacturer’s rated lifting capacity exceeding 5 tons; and Manufacturer’s rated maximum reach in excess of 32 feet.
