License: Residential Care Administrator

Residential care facility administrators must be licensed in Idaho. Applicants for licensure must: 1.) Be at least 21 years old; 2.) Complete a specialized course or a program of study in the area of residential care facility administration; 3.) Have either a high school diploma or equivalent and eight hundred (800) hours of on-site experience under the supervision of a licensed administrator, an associate degree and four hundred (400) hours of on-site experience, or a bachelor's degree and two hundred (200) hours of on-site experience; 4.) Submit evidence of good moral character; 5.) Pass an open book exam. Term: Licenses are renewed annually.
