License: Paramedic

Emergency Medical Technicians must be licensed in Idaho through the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Emergency Medical Services Bureau. There are four levels of levels of practice: First Responder, EMT-Basic, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic. Applicants must: 1.) Successfully complete a training course and be at least 18 years of age; 2.) Pass the National Registry of EMT’s (NREMT) written and practical exams at the paramedic level; 3.) Secure affiliation with an Idaho licensed EMS agency; 4.) Submit to and pass a Criminal History Check by the Department of Health and Welfare; 5.) Submit an application with required documents and fees. Term: Licenses are valid for two years before renewal
