Pharmacy Technicians must be registered with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy. Applicants for registration must: 1.) Have a high school diploma or its equivalent and be 18 years of age; 2.) Submit an application with required documents and fees; 3.) Submit fingerprints and pass a criminal background check; 4.) Submit references of good moral character and temperate habits. Pharmacy technicians who register with the Board will need to be nationally certified within 3 years by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Term: Licenses are renewed annually as of July 1.
