Applicants seeking to be licensed to practice medicine in Idaho must be licensed with the Idaho Board of Medicine. Applicants for licensure must: 1.) Submit fingerprints and pass a criminal background check; 2.) Graduate from a board approved medical school; 3.) Complete at least one year of postgraduate training program acceptable to the board; 4.) Pass a board approved exam; 5.) Pass an interview with the Board of Medicine to review the applicant’s qualifications and professional credentials. Term: Licenses can be renewed annually or bi-annually.
