GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Construct dental laboratory appliances based upon instructions and directions received from a licensed dentist. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must have at least two (2) years technician education, or two (2) years experience in a registered dental laboratory. Each registered commercial dental laboratory must have at least one (1) certified dental technician. EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS There is no written or practical examination. Applicant may secure application for certification as a dental laboratory technician from the regulatory agency. GENERAL INFORMATION for LICENSURE or CERTIFICATION There are no age requirements. Certification is $10.00 annually, which expires on December 31.
