License: Speech Pathologist Assistant

Must have 225 hours of clinical practice, the first 100 of which shall have been obtained through a regionally accredited institution. Of the 100 hours, 75 shall be obtained through direct patient/client contact and the remaining 25 hours may be obtained through observation of testing and therapy. The first 75 hours of direct patient/client contact hours shall be obtained in the following categories: a minimum of 20 hours in speech disorders, 20 in language disorders, and the remaining 35 hours may be obtained in teh areas of speech, language, or hearing disorders. The reamining 125 hours may have been obtained on-the-job or through a regionally accredited educational institution.
